Welcome to the Dandelion Newsletter; here I hope to share direct actions, inspiration, and reflections for anyone drawn to mindful nonviolent activism.

Times have been challenging in 2025, so much is happening, and many of us have felt stressed, overwhelmed, and at a loss for what to do.

However, many of us have also felt drawn to action, bravery, and rising to the occasion.

We must take action. We must be involved. And, we must nourish ourselves to better be able to be involved. In turn, our involvement can also nourish ourselves, and align our lives with our ideals.

The Dandelion Newsletter was born from this desire to become more engaged and help others do the same. I aim to keep these posts news-lite, action-heavy, and an efficient use of your time. I also strive to infuse these posts with self-care, mindfulness, and nonviolence; as I believe these are tools to becoming better activists.

There are three types of posts you will receive:

  • Dandelion Report: An updated and inclusive report on ways to get involved.

  • Sunflower: Posts sharing ideas and inspiration around activism, nonviolence, and mindfulness.

  • Spring Rain: Posts sharing unique or time sensitive ways to get involved.

As I sit at the window in my living room where I meditate, I have been watching the dandelions. Some say they are weeds, yet their beauty and tenacity inspire me. To see how they rise proudly, and then quickly spread their messages across the lawn; we can learn a lot from them.

Dandelions arise and disperse quicker than even a watchful eye can stop. They are “disruptive” yet nonviolent. They do not conform, but offer beauty to the world. Furthermore, they draw their strength from the sun, rain, earth, and the dandelions before them — and because of that, despite the efforts of some, they are unstoppable.

Join us in taking action, caring for others, and taking care of ourselves in the process.

I am grateful you are here.
