“For Nothing is Fixed” by James Baldwin
For nothing is fixed, forever, forever, forever, it is not fixed; the earth is always shifting, the light is always changing, the sea does not cease to grind down rock. Generations do not cease to be born, and we are responsible to them because we are the only witnesses they have. The sea rises, the light fails, lovers cling to each other, and children cling to us. The moment we cease to hold each other, the moment we break faith with one another, the sea engulfs us and the light goes out.
Several Upcoming National Protests and Rallies
In many areas, there are ongoing protests which are still essential. However, if your time is limited, consider trying to at least attend some of these nationally coordinated protests.
Also of note, We the People Dissent is now collecting data on what protests are ADA accessible, here is their list of protests from May 31 to June 6.
These organizations may also be helpful to finding protest locations:
Friday, June 6th: Unite for Veterans. Unite for America.
The primary rally will take place at The National Mall, in Washington, D.C., but there does seem to be many supporting rallies across the country if you use the above resources to find them. You can also read more from 50501Vets.com.
Saturday, June 14th: No Kings
I currently expect that this will be the largest protest this month, and will likely have the most events available. They currently have over 1,200 events listed.
Specifically for this event, people are being encouraged not to protest in Washington, DC as the birthday military parade is designated as a National Special Security Event, where protest protections will be reduced. If you are in the DC area, please consider joining in Philadelphia, or another local event in Virginia or Maryland, for your safety.
This protest is a chance to pull attention away from the military parade and control the narrative. Please keep your events non-violent, and keep everyone safe, especially any counterprotesters. Any violence will be used to discredit our efforts.
I will be working as a Peacekeeper with my local indivisible coordinators, please consider volunteering with your local group to help these events be successful.
Saturday, June 28th: Tesla Takedown
Protests continue at Tesla showrooms across the country weekly, though June 28th is a push for a larger event, similar to the last one on March 29th.

Ongoing Partisan Text-Banking for Tech Savvy Readers
There are enough phone-banks you could probably participate daily if you wanted, but text-banking is harder to find consistently.
Field Team 6 has started what they call a “BYOP” (bring your own phone) text-bank that looks to be a long-term opportunity to text-bank due to how it is set up, but it does require more tech skills to participate in.
It works by using a Google Voice number to text small batches daily by volunteers (usually up to 100 texts a day). Unlike other text-banks, this makes the outreach free, saving the organization’s resources for other opportunities. This also means the opportunity will last months rather than the usual single session, even with the almost 5000 people already signed up.
You can teach yourself how to start using the “Videos” Section in their BYOP Textbanking User Guide. Or, you can attend one of their weekly trainings on Thursday, 3pm-4:30pm PDT.
Nonpartisan text-banking opportunities are sometimes available with Vote Riders, or RepresentUS.
Resistbot Emails to Representatives
Resistbot is a tool to quickly send emails to your representatives. Click the link to learn how to set up your account. Emails are much less effective than calling (I have seen some estimate that a call is worth 10 emails), but with Resistbot templates it is so fast it is worth doing in addition to calling.
I often will be able to send these emails while I make calls using The 5 Calls App.
Codes I Have Used This Week:

If you are looking for more frequent updates on unique actions to take, or for phone scripts apart from 5 Calls App, you may want to consider Chop Wood, Carry Water or Rogan's List .
I am grateful you are here.
Thank you,
Chris

I forgot to mention, once you have BYOP texting set up, it is so simple and fast, I can usually complete it while doing my calls using the 5 Calls App.
It is just setting up a Google voice number, making a BYOP account, and setting up a Chrome extension that makes it a bit unusual compared to other text-banking.
